Katrina Vega is set on one thing: finishing college. She’s determined not to let anything, or anyone distract her, especially not hot brooding bikers. On her mission to stay focused, she doesn’t expect to be pulled into the fold of a motorcycle club, let alone into the arms of Alec "Mute" Stillwater.

Unable to keep her guard up, Katrina soon discovers that beneath the hard and rough exterior of a family she’s grown to care for, there’s also loyalty and passion she’s envious of. But falling for the club’s enforcer will not only threaten her plans but quite possibly her life.

My thoughts…

Mute is the first book in the Dragon Runners MC series by M. L Nystom, and what a beautiful beginning it is. The story line flows so smoothly and has just the right mix of all the elements a MC book should have to hold your interest and keep you reading. The story is so believable, and the characters feel so real it draws you into their world.

Katerina Vega has been busting her behind trying to work her way through nursing school, living off of hardly anything, while working as many jobs as she can. When she is about out of money, she's offered a job at a biker bar, which she gratefully takes. This is where she meets Mute, the Dragon Runners enforcer, who doesn't speak due to a tragedy in his past.

The characters are well developed and make you feel all the emotions they feel. Mute, Kat and Mackie will steal your heart. Mute and Kat are cute together and I think they balanced each other out perfectly. You can't help but root for Mute and Kat to find their happily ever after.

This book was well worth the read. I can't wait to see where this series goes.
