Everyday Life:

I had a good reading week, okay, only three books, but one book was 725 pages! I did it, I finally finished The Mortal Instruments series, it really reminded me why I loved this series so much when I first started reading it.

My husband and I attend an RV show this weekend, there is a lot of options to choose from. So far, we like what we see with the Mercedes-Benz Diesel Motorhomes. The Class-A Motorhomes are beautiful and huge. I would have to get a part time job as a school bus driver just to learn how to drive something that large. We still have a couple years to learn all about RV’s before we make a purchase. Any suggestions from any RV’ers?

After the RV show we took a road trip up the mountain. It’s starting to look a little like Fall with the Aspens changing color. In a couple weeks we should have more color, but nothing like you would see in the Northeast.

What I am currently reading/listening to:

Meet Jane Hawk—a remarkable new heroine certain to become an icon of suspense, propelled by the singular narrative genius of #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz.

“I very much need to be dead.”

These are the chilling words left behind by a man who had everything to live for—but took his own life. In the aftermath, his widow, Jane Hawk, does what all her grief, fear, and fury demand: find the truth, no matter what.

People of talent and accomplishment, people admired and happy and sound of mind, have been committing suicide in surprising numbers. When Jane seeks to learn why, she becomes the most-wanted fugitive in America. Her powerful enemies are protecting a secret so important—so terrifying—that they will exterminate anyone in their way.

But all their power and viciousness may not be enough to stop a woman as clever as they are cold-blooded, as relentless as they are ruthless—and who is driven by a righteous rage they can never comprehend. Because it is born of love.

What I read/listened to this past week:

The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments #6) by Cassandra Clare ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Once Upon a Real Good Time (Heartbreakers #1) by Lauren Blakely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stacking the Shelves #52:

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and co-hosted by Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the latest books I've added to my shelves; may it be physical or virtual. I include books I borrow from the library, audiobooks, gifts and of course eBooks.

The two Kristen Ashley books that I purchased this week are book’s that I’ve already read and own on Kindle. I know crazy right?! I liked them so much that I wanted to add them to my bookcase and chances are I will read them once again. Kristen Ashley is a must buy author for me.

    1. We had a great time. It was surprising to see all the features they add nowadays, a few had fireplace heaters.

  2. I don't drive at all, so I have no clue :D RVs must be tough to drive! But then again, the freedom they give you :)
Your road trip sounds fun, especially because this is the best season for them. I'd love to take one! But then again, I don't drive :D oh well.
I find Dean Koontz hit or miss - I hope you like this one :)

    1. I can't imagine not driving, but I can understand those that choose not to. My daughter wouldn't drive if we had public transportation in our area. Driving is just something that she doesn't like at all.

I feel the same about Dean Koontz, although one of my favorite books is by him. I rather listen to his books on audio. This week I haven't made much progress on this book.

  3. I really enjoyed The Mortal Instruments series too. Kristen Ashley books are another favourite. My next KA purchase is going to be Hound's book. I love the Chaos men and I'm bummed that house buying has prevented me from reading this one already! (I know... Priorities, lol)

    1. I had the newest Chaos book in my shopping cart, I decided to wait on it until the read the other books in the series. I think I've only read book one and two. In the Winter I would like to binge read them all. You can always check your library for it, although since it's new release it may take a bit to get it. It's always worth a try.

  4. I have the audio of Once Upon a Real Good Time and will probably listen this week. I devoured 4 books yesterday, but all were extended novellas. LOL Hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. I do hope you enjoy Once Upon a Real Good Time, it was a great romance. I have a hard time listening to romance on audio, because my son tells me I need to listen to more age appropriate books. Whatever the heck that means!

  5. I love the Mortal Instruments and I don't have an RV but it's the only way to go camping. I hate camping in the wilderness in a tent but your road trip sounds fun. My mom had an RV and she could only park it on level ground.

    1. We tent camped for years until we had children. Then we upgraded to a pop up and we had many adventures with that little camper. Nowadays my husband and son tent camp.

  6. Jovita how exciting to get an RV we don't actually have many RV accessible to us in Australia, we only have caravans but you can't sit inside whilst it's driving. I'm wanting to source one out to rent so my family and I can do a road trip 😁 I would love to own one, but I don't know if it'd be affordable to us here.

The tree pictures is stunning. I love how the trees change in between seasons. Fall being the best. We have just entered Spring.

I need to revisit Cassandra Clare's series! I loved it but never finished it and now with all the spin offs, it's time to finally finish reading it all. There are some books from The Clockwork Prince series and the last series she did, I don't have all those either.

    1. We considered renting one, to see if it's something we really want to purchase. They are expensive, now I understand why some couples sell everything and live on the road in their RV. We're not planning on selling our house, we would have to find something that is not outrageously expensive.

I also have the last book to read in the Internal Devices series, Clockwork Princess. Then I would like to move onto Lady Midnight. After that series, I'm going to take a break from the Shadowhunters.

  7. Wow, you read a lot. I only read one 550-page book last week. Good luck with the RV shopping! I have a tiny pop-up trailer, but I haven’t used it at all this year. Have a great week! Enjoy your new books!

    1. I think I flew through the books this week because they were all enjoyable, all five stars. I didn't have much going on during the week so that gave me plenty of time to just read.

We had a pop-up at one time and had many wonderful adventures. Even with the heater I was also so cold when we camped in the mountains. Have a great week.

  8. Oh I don't think you are crazy at all! I get a cheap book on Kindle and if I love it, I buy it on paperback. That's why I have so many books!

    1. I really need to quit doing those purchases, only because I'm running out of shelf space and I don't have room to add another standing bookshelf.

I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your Book Cave once you get it the way you like it. I do enjoy looking at photos and video tours of bookshelves.

  9. Looks like you had a great reading week with three 5 star reads!

I have always been fascinated by RV's (Ben 10 propelled the fascination 😂). I would love to own one someday! Hope you find the best one for yourself. Have a great week!

    1. Oh yes, I was pleasantly surprised that I did enjoy all three. I feel that I'm getting a bit more picky about the books I'm purchasing. Every so often I do get a dud.

There are some many to choose from, we still have a few years to find one that we really like and are willing to purchase.

  10. 725 pages! Oh dear. I can't imagine going through that. I'm glad you managed to get through 3 books, though, something I wish I could do but can't lately.

    Loving the photos!

    1. Not a usual read for me. I didn't have much going on during the week so that gave me plenty of time to just read. I enjoyed them all so much that I didn't want to put them down. Have a great day Sophia.
