Inky Edition of the Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news - A post to recap the past week on my blog. Showcase books and things I may have received. Share a bit of news about myself and what to expect on my blog in the upcoming week.

Everyday Life:

I finally did it, I packed up all my books and moved my reading space into he bigger bedroom. I was running out of space in the smaller room, it was cozy but felt cramped. Good thing my husband and son were available to move furniture and book boxes for me. Of course, I had to paint my new reading room, and I went with a color that I wouldn’t have normally picked, Himalayan Poppy, a bluish smoky lavender. I love it.

I was up until 4 am this morning organizing my books. When I moved into the room, I sorted the books by genre and shelved them. I didn’t like it, I couldn’t find anything that I was looking for. I went back to alphabetical order by authors last name. I had books arranged differently before they were packed up, a lot where stacked on one another. Now that they are no longer stacked I ran out of shelf space, and I refuse to purchase another bookshelf. I now have a full box of books in the closet that I need to find room for.

Last week on the blog:

What I am currently reading/listening to:

Unseen (Will Trent #7) by Karin Slaughter

I’m binge reading this series by Karin Slaughter, I love it. I would recommend reading The Grant County series first, the main character is Sara Linton and she later appears in this series. The Will Trent series takes place in Atlanta and features GBI special agent Will Trent, his partner Faith Mitchell, and Angie Polaski. The first two books in the series are Triptych and Fractured.

What I read/listened to this past week:

Undone (Will Trent #3) by Karin Slaughter
Broken (Will Trent #4) by Karin Slaughter

Fallen (Will Trent #5) by Karin Slaughter
Criminal (Will Trent #6) by Karin Slaughter

Stacking the Shelves #47:

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and co-hosted by Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the latest books I have added to my shelves; may it be physical or virtual. I can include books I buy in a store or online, books I borrow from friends or the library, audiobooks, gifts and of course eBooks.

Books I added this week:

No Second Chance by Harlan Coben
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
The Wrong Mother by Sophie Hannah

Eldest (The Inheritance Trilogy #2) by Christopher Paolini
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Thank you for visiting and I have a lovely week ahead.  -Jovita

  1. I love your bookshelves and the color of your walls! I haven't heard of Karin Slaughter but I like binging on a series that I enjoy. I hope you enjoy The Red Rising trilogy.

    1. Thanks Jackie, I wasn't too sure when I was painting the trim but once I covered all the walls I really liked it and I'm glad I went with it. I keep a stool in the closet just to reach the top shelf of the bookcase :) Love them. Have a wonderful day.

  2. Love the bookshelf! Looks great.

I still need to read Eleanor & Park.

    1. Thanks Greg, I'm happy I bought them awhile back. I've heard mixed reviews about Eleanor & Park, but it was only $2 at the arc store for hardcover and couldn't pass it up. Thanks for visiting.

  3. That was some job moving and then re-moving all your books. Looks fab now though and I love the Himalayan walls :-)

    1. Oh yes, it was plenty of work. I'm getting to old for this kind of stuff, the next day I was sore. Maybe I should workout more ;) Have a great day Stephanie.

  4. Wow, the room looks awesome. I'm going to paint me library (which I have been working on for 1 1/2 years now) purple with black and white accents. I really enjoyed Eleanor & Park. In fact, I liked it more than Landline. My fave of hers is Attachments though.

    1. Oh Barb that is going to looks so pretty, I would love to see photos when your room is completed. Attachments is also my favorite by Rainbow Rowell. Have a wonderful day.

  5. Lovely new reading room. I like the color. Always love Harlan Coben's books. Have a great week.

  6. Thank you Nise'. I've read a more than a few of Coben's books and enjoyed them. Thanks for visiting.
