August 2018 Monthly Wrap-up

Welcome to my August 2018 Wrap-up! A Monthly Wrap-up is exactly what it sounds like, a summary of the month. I’ll be recapping books I read, purchased/borrowed, posts of the month, a little bit of what’s going on outside the blog. I’m linking this post to the Monthly Wrap-up at Feed Your Fiction Addiction.

I can’t believe that August has ended and September is here. My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this month and I’m looking forward too many more years together.

This month I was able to complete two book series, yay me. I’m horrible when it comes to reading an entire series, I usually have the last two or last book to read. This month I finished Grant County Series and Will Trent Series, both by Karin Slaughter. Will Trent was my favorite series, and hopefully the series isn’t complete, and more books will be released. I may have possibly developed a book crush on Will Trent.

  1. Congrats on your wedding anniversary and I hope you both have many happy and healthy years ahead of you! I have sympathy as I have a ton of book series I need to finish and that is going to be priority next year for sure. Red Rising is on my ereader somewhere...I swear things breed on it and lurk in dark digital corners or something!

    1. Thank you. I just recently went through my e-reader and removed those that I had already read. Since I still have access to them at Amazon, I can always download them again if need. Now I know that all the books I have on my Kindle I haven't read. I'm happy that I don't have anymore hiding behind those dark corners :)

  2. I had an alright reading month. I only got to 7 books, but considering how busy I was I'm not too bummed about that :) Happy September!

    1. Seven books is wonderful. I feel like I didn't read much this month, but when I look at the numbers I did okay. It may be because of the two series I finished, each was one long book. Thanks for visiting Erica.

    1. Thank you Brooke, I'm surprised by how many of my children friends parents are divorced.

Ten books is fabulous. Kiss Quotient is my favorite romance this year, so far at least. Thank you for visiting.

  5. Congratulations on 30 years of marriage! It looks like you had a great reading month! I've only read one Karin Slaughter book. I believe it was one with Will Trent, although he wasn't the focus. I hope you love all your new books! Eleanor and Park is a favorite of mine. And Pride and Prejudice. I would like to read Frankenstein this fall. Hopefully I can make that happen! I hope you have a wonderful month of September!

    1. Thank you Wendy. Karin Slaughter has become an auto buy author for me, I'm glad I picked up one of her books. I've heard good things about Eleanor and Park, I'm looking forward to reading it.

Frankenstein and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow I would like to read next month. Thank you for taking the time to visit.

  7. Wow, congrats on your anniversary :) that's awesome. And I am the same - I usually just don't want to finish the series, so I will put reading the last book away till I totally forget what's going on.
I hope you have a good September!

    1. Thank you Evelina. I feel like if I read the last book in the series, then the series is really over. I like to hold onto some of my favorite characters and do not want their stories to end. Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting.

    1. Thank you Danielle. We did have a nice dinner out, and we decided to go on a trip next year, since we had so much going on this year. It does take work to make a marriage and I think nowadays not everyone wants to put what it takes to make a marriage last.

I did go a little overboard on the book haul this month. Now I just need to find time to read them all. Have a great day and thank you for visiting.
