July 2018 Monthly Wrap-up

Welcome to my July 2018 Wrap-up! A Monthly Wrap-up is exactly what it sounds like, a summary of the month. I’ll be reiterating books I read, purchased/borrowed, posts of the month, a little bit of what’s going on outside the blog, and a little bit of what I have plan in the upcoming month. I’m linking this post to the Monthly Wrap-up at Feed Your Fiction Addiction.

It's hard to believe that August is here. I celebrated my birthday in July, it was great to take a break
from all the painting I’ve been doing around the house. Last month I painted my son’s bedroom gray and then moved on to all the baseboards and doors (I like them bright white). This month I painted my daughter’s room a pretty sky blue.

I decided to finally pack up all my books and move into the bigger bedroom, I was running out of space in the smaller one. Good thing my husband and son were available to move furniture and book boxes for me. Of course, I had to paint my new reading room, and I went with a color that is so not me, Himalayan poppy, a bluish smoky lavender. I love it.

You may have noticed that I changed my blog design and added a couple new pages. Sometimes change is good, I still have a few things to add but I like it so far.

  2. Happy belated birthday!! I have read Geekerella and it was adorable so I hope you enjoy it. I'm on the wait list for One Small Thing. I'm like number 20 or something so it is going to be a while before I get to it.

I hope you have a wonderful August!

  3. Happy late birthday! I enjoy a fresh coat of paint to brighten and just change my perspective of rooms in my house. We plan on painting out kitchen and family room this coming winter. I too loved Geekerella and that book led me to Queens of Geek and I also enjoyed that book.
