Inky Edition of the Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news - A post to recap the past week on my blog. Showcase books and things I may have received. Share a bit of news about myself and what to expect on my blog in the upcoming week.

Everyday Life:

As of lately I haven’t been posting any book reviews to my blog and surprisingly I’m not really bothered by it. For the past few weeks, when reading I noticed that I’ve enjoyed the reading experience much more, I’m not note taking or trying to remember what it is that I would like to add to the review. I’ve read some great books lately that I would like to review, maybe one day. Currently I have nothing in the drafts or scheduled and I’m not worried or stressed… Go me!

I’ve been trying to spread the love by blog commenting and sometimes I don’t make it to all the blogs I want to visit. When I do set aside time for blog hopping, I get sidetracked. Sidetracked by what you ask… watching pimple popping videos on You Tube. I’m embarrassed to admit that those videos are a bit addicting, plus it doesn’t help that my sister sends me links to videos I should watch. Do any of you watch pimple popping videos?

What I am currently reading:

Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer
See Me by Nicholas Sparks

What I read/listened to this past week:

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway ⭐⭐
Third Grave Dead Ahead (Charley Davidson #3) by Darynda Jones ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson #4) by Darynda Jones ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stacking the Shelves #45

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and co-hosted by Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the latest books I have added to my shelves; may it be physical or virtual. I can include books I buy in a store or online, books I borrow from friends or the library, audiobooks, gifts and of course eBooks.

Gifted for Mother’s Day, Hardcover: Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson #3) by Patricia Briggs
Audiobook borrowed from the library: Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer
Romance Read-of-the-Month (Free): Beneath This Mask (Beneath #1) by Meghan March

Last week on the blog:

Tuesday: I’m seeing RED… (Top Ten Tuesday)

Have any of you been following the actions of the romance author Faleena Hopkins on Twitter or You Tube? In case you missed it, the video below explains what #cockygate is all about.

  2. Some great books there. I love Charley Davidson books on audio. The Mercy Thompson books I prefer to read. But I'm collecting her other series Alpha & Omega on audio. Enjoy your reading, that's the point. I'm new to the Sunday post and trying to get to every blog and take a look. It's a lot but very interesting. Anne - Books of My Heart

    1. I've starting collecting the Charley Davidson series in hardcover, another one of my favorite series. What took me so long to read it?! I've heard that the Alpha & Omega series is great, everyone seems to love it. Thanks for visiting Anne and welcome to the Sunday Post :)

  3. I haven't read the Mercy Thompson books. I read the first when it first released but struggled with UF back then (no quick romance fix! lol) but over the years UF has become a firm favourite of mine. I really should try this series again.

As for reviews, I don't take notes when I'm reading and I don't write length reviews either. I just share a few thoughts on whether I liked a book and why/why not. Really helps reduce the stress :)

    1. Oh yes, you have to give MT series a try again. I do like your approach to book reviews, it's probably less time consuming as well. Have a wonderful day Nicola and thank you for visiting.
