Inky Edition of the Sunday Post #10

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news - A post to recap the past week on my blog. Showcase books and things I may have received. Share a bit of news about myself and what to expect on my blog in the upcoming week.

Everyday Life:

This week I did a bit of Spring cleaning by going through my bookshelves and un-hauling the books that I read and didn’t particularly care for. I have a fairly large box set aside for my mother and the other books I will donate to my local Arc Thrift Store.

Afterwards I had empty shelf space and decided to re-organize the books. For the longest time I’ve kept them organized alphabetically by authors last name, it took me forever to find what I was looking for. This time the books are sorted by genre, young adult/adult and book height. It took some time and I’m much happier and could now find books more easily.

For the past few months I’ve been on the lookout for a new comfy reading chair. I’ve dragged my husband to almost every furniture store and I can’t even tell you how many chairs I sat in and had no luck. This afternoon while out shopping with my husband, I happened to see a big comfy chair that would be perfect, he bought it for me. Of course, I had to rearrange things once again to find the perfect spot.

Do you have a favorite place that you like to sit and read?

What I am currently reading:

Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney
The Late Show (Renée Ballard #1) by Michael Connelly

What I read/listened to this past week:

The Good Daughter (The Good Daughter #1) by Karin Slaughter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just One Look by Harlan Coben ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Marked in Flesh (The Others #4) by Anne Bishop ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A Study in Scarlet Women (Lady Sherlock #1) by Sherry Thomas ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What I added to my shelves this week:
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and co-hosted by Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the latest books I have added to my shelves; may it be physical or virtual. I can include books I buy in a store or online, books I borrow from friends or the library, audiobooks, gifts and of course eBooks.

You can find all the books I added to my shelves this week by clicking the link below:

5 Physical Books
0 Kindle Books
2 Library Borrows: eBooks/audio-books

I’m ready for a little wind therapy:

Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful week.

    1. Oh my goodness... if I tried sitting in a beanbag I don't think I would be able to get out of it. Have a great day Evelina.

  2. I really need to purge the bookshelves... And I'd love a big comfy reading chair but that'll probably have to wait until I move house.
    Have a great week!

    1. This is the first time I purged and I thought it was going to be really hard for me to un-haul books. Hopefully you'll get your big comfy chair soon. Have a great day Nicola.

  3. I do have a favorite chair to read in, there's something comforting about having a go-to spot ha ha! Except when the cat has taken it over and refuses to move!

I like organizing by genre and book height too...

    1. I don't hear many people talking about the Lady Sherlock, I did enjoy it and I have already added my name to the hold list at the library for the second book. Thanks for visiting Alyssa.

  6. Congrats on finding the chair you wanted! I am about ready to start looking for a new couch but I really don't feel like spending the money right now. I really need to organize my bookshelves because I have everything on there kind of randomly right now. Have a great week!

    1. Oh I'm loving my chair. I know I wouldn't be able to find anything if I do random for book organization :) Have a great week Carole.

  7. Congrats on finding a great new reading chair! I have a favorite chair to read in too, although my cat seems to love it too so we're always fighting over it, lol

Hope you have a great week!

  8. Congratulations on finding a comfy reading chair! I can't say that I really have one. I sort of move from couch to couch to bed, depending on where I want to read. :-) The Sherry Thomas book sounds really good! I read Marked in Flesh recently and enjoyed it. I love the Others series!
