Stacking the Shelves #29

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and co-hosted by Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves; may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course eBooks.

These are the books I added to my shelves this week. I took advantage of Book Outlet’s Black Friday Sale, I received my order this week. Now I just need to find room for them all.

I’m not going to add a synopsis for each book, but all book links will take you to Goodreads.

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen

This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills

Slasher Girls & Monster Boys by April Genevieve Tucholke, Stefan Bachmann, Kendare Blake, Jay Kristoff, Jonathan Maberry, Carrie Ryan, Nova Ren Suma, Leigh Bardugo

#famous by Jilly Gagnon

The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle

Wintersong (Wintersong #1) by S. Jae-Jones

These are the books I added to Kindle this week:

Read: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim

The audiobook that I borrowed from the library:

The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, JR. by Clayborne Carson

I’ve been pretty much homebound this week, which is what usually happens in the winter months because my car refuses to go in the snow. This week when I was leaving to book club, my car wouldn’t start for anything. May husband commented that maybe my little Z didn’t want to go to book club, he’s such a comedian.

We had it towed to our local Nissan dealership and after much diagnostic testing, inside the timing cover a gasket blew and oil was leaking internally, causing the pressure to go low and giving a misfire code. Thankfully it will all be covered under warranty. They did give me a loaner car, Nissan Versa… nothing comparable to my 370Z, but at least it gets me around to finish up Christmas shopping.

A sad day for my little Z…

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has added to their shelves and if you’ve read any of the books I have listed, please let me know what you thought of them. Have a wonderful week and thank you for visiting.

Happy Reading -J

  1. Hey Jovita, visiting from Stacking the Shelves at Tynga's Reviews. So many books, so little time eh? I think I've heard of a couple in your stack there.

Here's my Stacking the Shelves for this week!

  3. Sorry about the car trouble! You did really good at The Book Outlet. I really want to place an order but I don't think I have read any of the books from the last order so I keep telling myself no. I do want a couple of the books that I see in your pile though.
