Benton's Heart

Here it is barely February and I've already turned into a blog slacker. Even though I haven't been posting regularly I have been staying busy crafting, reading and spending time with my family.

I've decided to jump back in to learning the piano.... serious this time. It's been about a year since I quit lessons, I figured I would save the money and practice sight reading on my own... that didn't work out like I planned. The last few months I rarely touched the piano... except to dust it, I would open it, play a piece and then close it until it needed to be dusted again. I'm determined to learn some new pieces on my own and not get discouraged.

On to Benton...

Heart Benton

The image is from one of Inky Antics new clear stamp sets, Heart Benton. Benton was colored with Copic Sketch Markers. For the layout I used another fabulous sketch from The Sweet Stop (SSS143)...my favorite sketch challenge blog.

Thanks for visiting ~ Jovi

  1. He is so cute!Love this one. :0) Good luck with the piano lessons again. :0)

  2. What an adorable card. Hope you continue with your piano - you'll never regret it. One of my goals this year is to learn everything about my Yamaha keyboard and actually play it. So far - nada. But, I've got this ginormous kitchen cupboard painting project I'm doing so maybe after that.

  3. Jovita, he is adorable. Love the layout and your coloring is wonderful! SUCH a great valentine card!

I'm tickled you are continuing with piano lessons. It is something you'll always be happy you continued. I've just completed year #3 with my cello and I find I just really feel a sense of contentment and peace when I'm playing...even when it doesn't sound the best. lol It still makes me happy.

  4. Awww such a sweetheart of a bear! Have fun with your piano lessons!!!
