Old Colorado City and a Mustang

Yesterday my sister called to ask if I wanted to go riding for a bit, she felt that she was ready to get out of the neighborhood and go riding in traffic. Of course I said yes! We took a short ride to Old Colorado City and had lunch. When it was time to park she had a little difficulty. For some reason she always parks her bike in Neutral, I mentioned that she should park in First gear to keep her bike from rolling back. If she rolled any further back she would have scratched her pipes on the curb. I remember how patience Bryan was with me when I was learning and I try to be that way with my sister as well, I don’t want to discourage her.

Once we finished lunch we walked around a bit and I snapped a couple of pictures (click on photos for larger view). My allergies started acting up from all the blossoming trees. Riley and Austin always enjoy eating at Meadow Muffins, so I made sure to snap a photo for them. Whenever we go to Meadow Muffins I point out the “Lofts for Sale” sign to Bryan and mention that we should move, I think it would be great to live in a loft downtown or in Old Colorado City… he just laughs!

Today I bought a new seat for my motorcycle and hopefully it should be delivered this week. A while back I was so sore after a 200 mile ride with Bryan… I knew I needed a new seat (I currently ride with a HD Badlander). I wanted to make sure I made the right choice and I’m pretty confident that I’m going to be extremely happy with my new seat. After talking with ladies from MSR, reading threads on the Harley Forum, and sitting on different seats I decided to go with a Mustang seat. I’ve heard wonderful things about Mustang seats and I’m looking forward to going on a long ride with it. I’ll keep you posted!

Thanks for reading and I wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day tomorrow ~ Jovi

  1. That looks like a cool little town. I always park in neutral, is there something wrong with that? I have to be in neutral to free my left hand to turn off the key. How do you do it? It sounds like your sister is doing really good, and progressing slowly. How fun to have a sister to ride with!
