Out and about...

When I bought my motorcycle I also joined Women on Wheels local Colorado Springs Chapter, Mountain Shadow Riders (MSR). Since I’m so new to motorcycling I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet other women riders and get involved in community biker activities. Saturday morning I attend my first MSR meeting, I rode my bike into town to attend. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Every year (first Saturday in October (6 October this year) ), MSR sponsors a Breast Cancer Awareness Ride. All proceeds go directly to the local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Last year MSR raised over $5000 and had over 200 riders! I’m so thrilled that I’m going to be able to help out for this year’s ride. If you would like more information on the ride or about donating please Email Me!

Sunday we took a drive to Red Rocks, just west of Denver. Red Rocks is a geologically formed open air Amphitheatre. Because of the acoustic sound, Red Rocks has attracted some of the best performers. U2 performed live at Red Rocks their Sunday Bloody Sunday music video. Red Rocks also had hiking trails that take you through spectacular rock formations (click on images for a larger view). It was a busy non-stop weekend!

  1. Gorgeous photos Jovi! Im glad you are picking up another hobby (so to speak) other than papercrafting as well.

  2. Hi there! Just saying hello from another WoW, this time in California. I posted a link to this piece up at Raven's Roads, my website, and it will appear tomorrow morning. :)

  3. I'm here from Linda's (in case you were wondering if she really posted the link) -- she didn't disappoint when she said you had great pictures up.

I'd love to see Red Rocks in person one day. So much musical history there...
