Spring Training

In honor of Spring Training, I pulled out my favorite baseball stamp and made this card. Little League Baseball and Softball is starting for us in a few weeks, which means a busier schedule for me! Both Riley & Austin are excited to play again. Riley is even more excited because this is her first year playing softball, in the past she played baseball on an all boys team.

The layout for this card is last week’s A Shade of Blue Sketch Challenge, Sketch #57. The stamp is Field of Dreams by Penny Black. I used paper from The Angel Company, Close to My Heart & Stampin Up.

**Dawn B ~ the quilted finished card sizes are: Hedgehog 5.25 x 5.25 (I cut my squares 4 x 4) and Fluffles 4.25 x 4.25 (I cut my squares 3 x 3). After you lay all your triangles (tips touching) you will have some extra hanging off the base, just trim that with your paper cutter. Katie Stowell posted a Starburst Tutorial over at A Shade of Blue using a similar technique for a scrapbook layout, hopefully you can find the pictures there a bit helpful.
