About Me

Colorado Springs, CO
United States

I’ve been married for 29 years to my best friend, we have two beautiful grown children (20 & 22), and two extremely spoiled fur babies.

I’ve been blogging since 2006, and while I started this blog as a bit of a whim, I never thought I would keep it and here I am years later, still blogging. You will mostly find older entries about rubber stamping/paper crafting, my motorcycle adventures and the beginning of my piano journey, which I still can’t play but I’m not giving up.

As of today, you will likely find what I’m reading and my thoughts on those books. A little of this and a little of that thrown in as well, whatever it is that interests me.

For many years, I only read True Crime novels. While growing up there were always True Detective magazines scattered throughout the house, my mom is a true crime reader as well. I picked one up and kept on reading. Early on I had to sneak them because that magazine was not appropriate reading material for children. I was always fascinated with what made individuals become so evil.

That all changed in 2008 when I went to see Twilight at the movie theater with my daughter. She was getting annoyed with me when the movie ended, I continually asked her questions about what was going to happen in the next movie, New Moon. Finally, she said “read the books” … the little stinker would not let me read her beloved Twilight Saga. I purchase all four books and then moved onto The Mortal Instruments series. That is how my excitement for Young Adult books started.

I eventually starting gravitating into other genres, Romance (Contemporary and Historical), Paranormal, Mystery and Thrillers, Classics and some Erotica. Towards the end of last year, I was getting frustrated and fed-up with the Romance genre. It was either insta-love or a tortured past… it was all beginning to all read the same. This year I decided to take a break from Romance (read a little here and there) and get back into the other genres that I truly enjoyed.

I do this all for fun and I’d love to hear your recommendations for my never-ending TBR list, what you think of the books I’ve read and your opinions on the books you’re reading, so please, comment away and thank you for staying with me.

  1. Jovi-love the new blog look. Wish I could figure out how to redesign mine. I like the fonts on the label headers etc!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I love reading them. I will try to reply to your comment and visit you as well to spread the love. :)
