Inky Edition of the Sunday Post #11

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news - A post to recap the past week on my blog. Showcase books and things I may have received. Share a bit of news about myself and what to expect on my blog in the upcoming week.

Everyday Life:

About two weeks ago, our fur baby Toby wasn’t feeling well, diarrhea and then during the night he started vomiting with blood mixed in. The following morning, I took Toby in to see his Veterinarian. After having blood work and stool samples, his liver levels were extremely high, normal is below 200, his level was 1400. He had an infection is his gall bladder and was given antibiotics, probiotics and a change in food to Prescription Diet.

Friday, Toby went back for a follow-up appointment for blood work and an ultrasound on his gall bladder. His liver level went down to 800, and his Vet is hopeful it will decrease with his new diet. He needs to stay on the prescription food and in six months he will return for blood work and an ultrasound. I’m so grateful that he’s feeling so much better.

Spring is here, the tulips have bloomed and covered in snow. Colorado weather is crazy this time of year.

  1. I'm glad your fur-baby is doing better! It's scary when they aren't doing well, and not being able to fully understand what's wrong with them is not good, either.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  3. Aww, I hope Toby does well and continues to recover. It's hard when pets are sick. The weather's been crazy here too, we have a winter storm warning in effect and sleet, so spring is definitely AWOL.

    Sometimes I Lie looks great!

  5. Glad your fur baby is doing well. We had to put our family dog down as of late and although she doesn't live with us, I miss her a lot. #thesundaypost theglobaldig.blogspot.com

  10. I am so glad Toby is doing better and hope the new diet will do the trick. You must be so relieved. I am so glad to see you enjoyed The Address. I really want to read that one. That's too bad about The Widow though. I have a copy of that one, I think, but haven't yet read it. I hope you have a great week!
