**Everyday life:**

It’s been a very relaxing week here in Colorado. The forecast is calling for snow today, yippee!

Yesterday morning I attend the Mountain Shadow Riders monthly chapter meeting (yes, I do ride a motorcycle) and it was wonderful to catch up with my second family. I will be hosting a movie night soon for us ladies to watch Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker. We would like to be caught up for the release of the Fifty Shades Freed movie next month, as most of us have read the books.

Hopefully this week I can get my book shelves organized. I have stacks of books in sitting in front of others. I’m going to go through and set aside some to un-haul, I need to make room for others. I'm having a difficult time seeing stacks where they shouldn't be.

I hope you all also had a relaxing week.

**What I read this past week:**

Diary of An Oxygen Thief (The Oxygen Thief Diaries #1) by Anonymous -  The review will be up soon, but for now, don’t spend your money.

After We Fall by Melanie Harlow – This was the Romance Book Club pick for January and I liked it. I’ve read about five of Melanie Harlow books and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Gold Dust Woman: A Biography of Stevie Nicks by Stephen Davis – I dnf’ed this book, first one in years and I’m okay with it. I thought I would enjoy this but after listening to it on audio, it wasn’t what I thought it would be. It’s an unauthorized biography and all the information in the book is what most fans already know and is readily available on the internet. One day I would like to hear from Stevie Nicks herself, in her own words… that would be an amazing book.

**What I am currently reading:**

Night Embrace (Dark-Hunter #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon - I really enjoyed the first book, I’m not sure why it has taken me so long to read more of the Dark-Hunter Series.

Do you have any recommendations of other books in this genre that are similar?

**Last week on Inky Impressions:**

Thank you for visiting and happy reading - Jovi

  2. Sounds like a fun ladies night! We read the first book in a book club I was in soon after it was published and that was the most fun meeting I think I've ever been to! I wasn't a huge fan of the books but the movies do look intriguing. Have a great week!

    1. Oh my goodness, sounds like great night. I can only imagine what it would be like if my library book club read and discussed it. My group is of the older generation :)

  3. I’m also reading the Dark-Hunters series. It’s so addictive! Have you read JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series? It’s kind of similar to this. Loads of action and romance.

    1. Yes it is very addictive. I have read some of Black Dagger Brotherhood, I'm currently on book #4 and it is taking me awhile to get through it. Only because Butch isn't one of my favorite characters. Lately I've been in a paranormal mood. Have a great day.

  4. Yay that you've had such a lovely relaxing week!! That's terrific. :') And also resorting bookshelves can be so hard and exhausting. Let no one say we bookworms don't work out, because hefting books is a HUGE work out. πŸ˜‚ good luck!!

    1. Yes, no need to go the gym with all the heavy lifting and squatting, that is exercise enough. Thank you Cait and have a wonderful week as well.

    1. I've been putting it off, because it's hard for me to part with books. I know I have to do it to make room and have no wall space left for another bookcase. Have a wonderful week Grace.

  6. How nice that you've been spending time with your MC ladies, Jovita! And I'm sure you'll have fun with the Fifty Shades movies :)
The whole Dark Hunter series is awesome, and if you like that genre, you should try Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole, as well as The Demonica series by Larissa Ione if you haven't read those yet :) I also really enjoyed The Hollows series by Kim Harrison.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  7. Organizing bookshelves can be daunting work, but it's super satisfying. :)

A series that I'm enjoying that is similar to what you're reading is the Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16038676-halfway-to-the-grave

Hope you are having a great week! ~Aleen

    1. Aleen I did read book the first and second book in that series and I really enjoyed both, although I can't remember why I didn't continue with the series. I have to look into those once again, and thank you for the reminder ;) Have a wonderful week.
