Stacking the Shelves #33

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and co-hosted by Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves; may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course eBooks.

This week I will be adding two weeks’ worth of books to my shelves. I had every intention of participating in last week’s Stacking the Shelves, but early in the week I began having a tooth ache. By Thursday I couldn’t take it anymore, after a trip to the dentist and after some painful poking, I had an infection in a root canal tooth. After a high dose of antibiotics and pain medications I’m feeling so much better. I have another appointment next week to have that root canal retreated with having all new hardware, it’s been sixteen years since it was originally done.

So, without further ado, here are the books I added to my shelves, all book links will take you to Goodreads.

Hopefully this week I can catch up on book reviews and maybe participate in other blog memes. Have a wonderful week.

Happy Reading -J

  2. The Diary of an Oxygen Thief? Lol aren't we all! The cover is so fun and wierd and it makes me laugh. I love snowmen and I had to do a double take. Is that a horror or is it a humorous book? It's hard to say by looking a the covers. Anyway I hope you feel better. I hate dentists and I need to go soon.

    1. I had not heard anything of about this book and just happen to see the melted snowman cover. Then I read the first sentence "I like hurting girls" and noticed that it was a NY Times Bestseller. I plan on reading it soon, it's a fairly short book 151 pages. Jackie have a wonderful day.

  8. Oh, wow. I'm so sorry you are having trouble with your tooth like that. Dental pain is the worst. I'm glad you are feeling better. I'm planning to read 1984 this year, and I can't decide between the physical copy or getting the audiobook off of Overdrive. I see it available on there often.

    1. I'm happy that I went with the audio. Simon Prebble, the narrator made it so much more interesting. I almost gave up on 1984 on one section of the book, but I'm glad I continued with it. Enjoy your day Jennifer.
