What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 119

It's Wednesday and since my workspace has exploded with Halloween today would be a great day to play along in What's on Your Work-desk? Wednesday #119. I didn't even attempt to take a picture of my other side (where I do my cutting), Halloween papers spread out everywhere... all I need is a little candy corn to go with that mess and I'll be very happy.

As you can see in the photo I'm in the process of making a Halloween card using some of my new Inky Antics stamps that came in earlier this week. I'm sharing I card that I finished yesterday, the image is Cauldron Time (also from Inky Antics).

Cauldron Time

Recently I purchase quite a few Nestabilities at Hobby Lobby while on sale for 40% off. Last night I went to use a couple of the dies and was really disappointed that I wasn't able to get them to cut through Bazzill or Papertrey Ink cardstock, I should mention that I've never had problems before using Nestabilities with Bazzill or PTI. I also tried using the dies with thinner cardstock, Close to My Heart,... no luck, now I have to return two sets. I noticed that these metal dies are a lighter shade than the others... has anyone of you had this problem with Nestabilities?

Make sure to stop in over at Julie's blog, Stamping Ground to see more work-desks and thanks for visiting ~ Jovi

  7. Wow looks like you have a bright work space! Great card. I have a large collection of Nesties, some are lighter than others, but I have not had any issues with any as of yet. I hope you get good ones the next time around. Nothing is worst than getting home to find your new toys aren't functioning correctly... especially if you are like me and get stuff, stash it away and not use immediately! Thanks for sharing that awesome Halloween card!

  8. Ha! That froggy looks like he has had a little bubbly! Love it!
I do have some of the new lighter bronze nesties, but I do not have any trouble. I usually just add another piece of paper on top for a tad more shim and that seems to work for me! Good luck!

  9. OMGosh, this is so Cute! 8-) Love Your fun little Halloween froggy! great layout and dp too! I have been pretty lucky with my SB dies, never had any trouble, ( knocking on wood lol ) But I agree with Sue, if you add an extra layer on top of your sandwich, it may work. 8-)

  10. What wonderful cards you have made.... This little frog is adorable as are your choice of papers. If those new nests don't work with a shim I'm sure they will let you return or exchange them.
So glad I found your blog & will be returning to see more of your wonderful creations.
    Hugs, Janie
