WOYWW

It's Wednesday, it's time to sneak a peek into other crafters work desks, hosted by Julie over at Stamping Ground, so come along and join in the fun.

I'm currently surrounded by wood blocks and loose rubber. I decided to finally finish unmounting my single wood stamps. A few years ago I unmounted most of wood mount sets but I didn't want to tackle the singles.... until this past weekend, I was using a cling mount set from The Angel Company and I remembered how much I liked using the clear blocks with rubber... so I went for it. I started with Gruffies, because I didn't have some kind of weird emotional attachment to those and so far I'm really happy with my decision.

Just a tip to share if anyone is going unmounted... instead of using Kai Scissors and baby powder use a Hot Knife. I picked one up at Michael's and I was so happy that I did so, the Hot Knife cuts through the cling mount like butter with no sticky mess, I only wished I had it when I unmounted last time... it is fabulous!

It's going to take me awhile to get everything unmounted and stored... as you can see I have plenty to keep me busy... this is only a fraction of what I have to look forward to. Thanks for stamping in for a visit ~ Jovi

  5. I still have my wood mounteds, but have a lot of u/m too. Tip for the wood blocks, the smaller ones anyway. Add some velcro to them- make great ink applicators for felt/cut & dry foam. Shaz #118

  7. That is a great tip, I'll have to try to remember it if I decide to do this myself. Good luck with it.

  8. I am so glad I am not the only one removing stamps from their mounts. I do not have many wooden mounts, but I had been persuaded into mounting the unmounted ones on EZ sticky stuff, but I am now busy removing them. They take less space, you can cut them tighter and get a much sharper image.
