An Early Spring

Groundhog Hollow

This morning the country’s most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, predicted an early spring. The Groundhog Day celebration is rooted in a German superstition that says if a hibernating animal casts a shadow on Feb. 2, the Christian holiday of Candlemas, winter will last another six weeks. If no shadow was seen, legend said spring would come early.

After many years of having this Inky Antic stamp, Groundhog Hollow, I was finally able to make a card with it. For the past few years I just completely forgot about Groundhog’s Day, but this year I was determined to use it. After making sure of the date, I placed sticky notes around my stamp area to remind me.

Thanks for visiting ~ Jovi

  8. Hey Jovi,

Tried to send you a message but it won't go through. Just wanted to let you know that yes, my ribbon storage is a shelf. I have the link on my blog, let me know if it does not work. It is from IKEA. It was $15 here in Canada, so probably less in the US. I love them! :0)
