Snowboarding

Riley and Austin have been patiently waiting all season to go snowboarding and Saturday was the perfect day to get them out on the slopes. The weather was ideal for spending the day in the mountains, it was unbelievably warm and sunny the entire time we spent at Monarch and the snow was just as great… not hard and icy, but nice and soft.

While at Monarch, Riley and Austin took private snowboard lessons, they worked on stopping and turning. I think next time we go I’ll take snowboard lessons. I don’t do so well with ski’s… I don’t know how to stop and once I get going too fast I throw myself to the ground, it’s pretty comical. Bryan is the skier in this family… maybe he’ll take up snowboarding as well.

Here are a few pictures from Saturday. We all had a great time and Riley even found time to do some texting on the mountain! On the way home from Monarch we saw pronghorn sheep along the side of US 50. Once the weather warms up Bryan and I will be riding this route on our motorcycles. Last time when we rode US 50 on our bikes it was for our 20th Anniversary Ride… in a down pour, with snow and fog on top of Monarch Pass.

I promise to update soon about my piano lessons. I’ve been very busy this week practicing “She’ll be Comin’ ‘Round the Mountain”… lol… hopefully one day I’ll move onto other exciting songs!

Thanks for reading ~ Jovi

  3. You are so good at so many things, Jovi. Your photography is always top notch. Your children look like they had a blast. Too funny that there was time for texting.

Now come on...we'll need a video with sound for our first concert from you!
