Helping Hand

I went to My Live Signature and made a signature to add to my blog posts. I’m able to add it with no problem, but do you notice the little box around it? I’m not sure how to get rid of that. I’ve seen a lot of other people using them on their blogs and they don’t have the box. A friend suggested that it might be the template I’m using… bummer because I don’t want to change my template just to use my signature, so chances are I’ll be adding my signature with a box around it or I may just quit using the signature!

Moving onto stamping stuff… This is the newest House Mouse image, Helping Hand and it is April’s Design of the Month. I had a little problem getting a useable stamped image, you can still see where it’s a little darker (on the flower petal tip and end of the stem)… I think I may have been pushing too hard in those areas. Once I was able to get a few usable images I loved coloring it. Since I’m a little behind on my Mouse A Round (MAR) swap I made a few extra of these cards to send to the MAR ladies.

For this card I used designer paper from the Pocket Full of Posies (DCWV) pack… this pattern is one of my favorites from the collection and I absolutely love all the glittery paper that comes in the pack. I also used Barley Banana and Bashful Blue cardstock from Stampin Up. The image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils blended with Gamsol and I outlined the hummingbirds’ wings and a bit of the flower using Stardust Gelly Pen (click for larger view).

Stamps: Helping Hand (House Mouse) ~ Ink: Noir Palette ~ Paper: White (Papertrey Ink), Barely Banana (SU), Bashful Blue (SU), Pocket Full of Posies (DCWV) ~ Other: Paper Piercer, Stardust Gelly Pen (Sakura), Blue Ribbon (Offray), Prismacolor Pencils blended with Gamsol

  4. Another cute card! I like your signature--the box doesn't distract by the way.
