Tweet Kisses

Burr… I’m trying to stay warm. Riley and Austin had baseball/softball practice tonight and it was chilly, it was 38 degrees! As soon as we get home from practices I always turn the heater up. I have a terrible time trying to stay warm, while everyone else is roasting! I’m so happy that Bryan insists that Riley & Austin dress in layers with all Under Armour clothing. It can be pricey but its well worth it… that’s spring time in the Rockies!

My Close to My Heart order came Saturday, I was so excited to use some of my new paper for today’s ASB Sketch Challenge #66. The background flower paper and the strip with the sentiment are from CTMH Sonata paper pack and the stamp is Tweet Kisses, House Mouse.

I’m thinking maybe I should have added a border around the main image or stamped the image onto cream cardstock, the white just looks a little bright against the other colors. Since I didn’t have a “Tweet” stamp, I printed “You’re so Tweet” onto the patterned paper. . I didn’t want the birds’ tail to be covered by the strip, so I used my Xacto knife to cut along the outline of his tail and then I tucked the strip of patterned paper under the cut area.

Thanks for visiting… and did I mention, it’s great to be home!

Stamps: Tweet Kisses (House Mouse), Flower Bunches (TAC-GWP) ~ Ink: Noir (TAC-Palette), Pinecone (TAC-Bazzink) ~ Paper: White, Lilac Mist (CTMH), Sonata Paper Pack (CTMH) ~ Other: Brown Gingham Ribbon, Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol.

  4. Such a sweet card! If it's too bright, could you mask off the rest of the card and add some light sponging in caramel or light blue? I've done that before when I've completed the card, stepped back and it was just too bright!

  6. Your card is a adorable. I really like the CTMH papers that you used. I have never used any of thier products so it's nice to see them on a card. The stamp you used is so darn cute. Can you tell me the company that makes the stamp you used?
